Trolling Block
Pulley of the type used on trollers on the Pacific west coast. There was a pulley like this for each reel of the gurdy, usually three per side of the boat. The pulley was suspended from an iron davit above each reel of the gurdy. The wire line was threaded through the pulley and centred the wire line so it would wind up and down properly from the gurdy when running the fishing lines up and down.
