Front and back covers: machine printed, mid-green coloured background with random floating white clouds overall; front: three vertical columes of black coloured Chinese characters, the title is in the centre; on the centre back cover is a small black square with the outline of an elephant in the middle; on both sides of each page is machine printed black Chinese characters; price of the book was marked $0.2. This is a modern Chinese series with new character and new writing style; this series began in the 1920s. Part of the new wave of Chinese literature of the 1920s -1930s.
