(metric designation may mean a mid 1970s or later date); label also states that this is 'B.C.'s Own Brewery Since 1871, (which seems to contradict evidence provided at www.crestonbc.com/kokanee/history, stating that this company originated as the Fort Steele Brewery, in 1898) and the phrase 'BC's Grand Ol' Mountain Brew'. 'Canada'designation near the bottom of the bottle.
