White clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Pinholing of glaze on bottom surface. Decoration consists of banding on upper surface of rim. Wider dark green band between two maroon color thin bands. Gap in bands for the green color transfer printed image of a crowned crest (an adaptation of the British Columbia crest) with a banner beneath containing the words "Hotel Russell". On the bottom is the mark of the maker and the name of the distributor.
