A : white coloured stoneware jar; dark brown coloured high gloss glaze, except for around the top which is unglazed and on the base which has a light application of glaze in a spiral pattern; raised Chinese character on the bottom; B: white coloured stoneware lid; dark brown coloured high gloss over the exterior, interior is unglazed.
