Wine Label
Made of glossy paper, not the in-expensive brown paper listed in Schreiner's "The British Columbia Wine Companion" as belonging to the early years (1966-1973) of Casabello's labels. Probably indicates a date after 1973 for the label (though Schreiner does not categorically state that no glossy labels were made earlier). Described as a light grape table wine on the label. Listed in the LCB price lists # 30, October 01, 1968, and # 34, June 01, 1972. Listed in the # 30 listing as Casabello Gala Med. Dry White under Canadian Wine; an 80 oz. bottle sold for $2.90 and a 26 oz. bottle for $1.00. Listed in # 34 as Casabello Gala White under Canadian Table Wine (White); the sweetness code was 04 and an 80 oz. bottle sold for $3.45, a 26 oz. bottle for $1.15.
