Wine Label
Made of glossy paper, not the in-expensive brown paper listed in Schreiner's "The British Columbia Wine Companion" as belonging to the early years (1966-1973) of Casabello's labels. Probably indicates a date after 1973 for the label (though Schreiner does not categorically state that no glossy labels were made earlier). Described as a 'light sparkling grape wine medium dry' on the label. Listed in the LCB price list # 34, June 01, 1972 (as Casabello Chevente Rose) under Canadian Table Wine (Sparkling). The sweetness code was 04; a 26 oz. bottle sold for $1.60 a 13 oz. bottle for $1.00.
