Author John Schreiner, in his "The World of Canadian Wine", notes that the Palazzo Reale and the San Pietro (see file .339) reds were blended to compete with popular, inexpensive Italian wines. Label for a 1 L bottle. Described on the label as being 11% alc./vol. Listed in the LDB product catalogue for December 30, 1981 (as Palazzo Reale Red) under Table Wine (Still Red). The sweetness code was 01; a 1 L. bottle sold for $4.25.
