Wine Label
Author John Schreiner, in his "The World of Canadian Wine", notes that the Sommet Rouge and Sommet Blanc wines (released in 1974, and 1975 respectively) were part of a new label and bottle look for Calona; Calona wished to move away from "flasks embossed with grape clusters", a look that had worked in the 1960s. This is a label for a 750 ml. bottle. Described on the label as being 12.5% alc./vol. Listed in the LDB product catalogue for December 30, 1981 under Table Wine (Still Red). The sweetness code was 01; a 750 ml. bottle sold for $3.45.
