White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a thin red and a thin blue band under the rim. A gap in the bands contains a cobalt blue crown above the letters "VP", which is reported to be a motto of the PPCLI (Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry) and stands for "veritas" "patrieii" The maker's mark appears on the bottom.
