Young German soldier wearing a spiked helmet and a greatcoat. Belt buckle is an Imperial German Hessen pattern. Postcard format but nothing written on the back. Photographer's name and address printed on the back: "Emil Strobel ... Doberitz". Belonged to an unidentified German soldier who was a prisoner of war in England during WWI. Was contained in a wallet (964.4837.1) which had sixteen items in it (photographs, postcards, pencil drawings, etc.). Items are numbered 964.4837.2 to 964.4837.17.
