Pitcher
White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a thin maroon color band between two dark-green color bands approximately 2 cm below the rim. A gap in the banding contains a crest. the crest has as one of its elements a banner upon which is the motto "By Sea and Land We Prosper". Above the crest are the words "Vancouver Schools", below the crest are the words "Vancouver B.C." There is some discoloring on the piece. On the bottom is the maker's stamp which reads "Bristol/founded" [here are crossed swords] "in 1652/England/B".
