Simple orange band 2 mm wide on top edge of rim. shield design on rim under which is a banner on which appears the name "Hotel Grosvenor". On bottom of plate is a green color transfer with lion under which is a banner containing the word "vitrified". Under the banner is"John Maddock & Sons Ltd/Made in England/Marshall Wells".
