White clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Decoration is a checkered band between two thin orange bands on upper surface of rim. Also on the rim is an image of a grouse with some foliage in its beak (black transfer print). Below the grouse is a banner with the words "Grouse Mountain Chalet" in the banner.
