White clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a wide maroon color band between two thin maroon color bands which run around the upper surface of the outer portion of the rim. Below the banding is a maroon colored image of a lion with a sword above a tent shaped element within which is a fleur de lis. Below this is a heart shape with the words "Windsor/Hotel" within it. Below the heart is a banner with the word "NANAIMO" on it. On the bottom of the plate is the manufacturers logo in green. the distributor's name appears in maroon.
