White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a gray color band around the perimeter and the words "The Hume" in cursive, below this are the words "Nelson, B.C." the lettering is also gray in color. On the bottom is the maker's stamp in green and the distributor's name in gray. Impressed into the clay on the bottom is a crown and some unclear numbers and letters.
