Plate
White clay body with glaze applied. Upper surface has a clear glossy glaze, bottom surface has a transparent light yellow coloring over the glaze which shows some iridescence. Decoration on upper surface consists of a green, purple and red underglaze transfer along the rim. The transfer is made up of geometric, stylized floral elements, and stars. Under the border design is the word "KALAMALKA" in script. On the bottom is the maker's mark. A sailboat on the water. Impressed into the bottom are the words "Copeland/Ironstone" and the name of the distributor "A.T Wiley & Co. Ltd. / Montreal" The plate is made thin in cross section.
