Plate
White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a wide mid-green color band outlined by a thin band on either side of it. The bands run around the perimeter of the plate approx 1 cm in from the outer edge. A gap in the band contains a green color transfer printed image of a shield with the letters "C""T" within it. Flanking the shield on either side are what look like laurel branches. Beneath the shield are the words "Clay's Tea Rooms". On the bottom ofa the piece is the maker's and distributor's stamps in green.
