Overall white colour with a handpainted triple band of green coloured lines and a single black line around the centre impression; name of the manufacturer's company is stamped in green ink on the bottom, 'Grindley, England' with the trademark of an outline of an American three-masted sailing ship within a rectangle; style name is Hercules, and stamped in green is 'Vitrified'; two tiny black glaze marks on the bottom by the trademark; overall high gloss finish; slight flaw in the black line.
