From the B.C. Museums Association to the Kwaday Dan T'sinchi Management Team for its remarkable work and collaboration in the respectful handling, documentation, and research of British Columbia's "iceman". The "team" consisted of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nation, the Archaeology Planning and Assessment Section of the Province of B.C., the University of Alberta, and the Royal British Columbia Museum. The award was presented at the BCMA Annual General Meeting in Vancouver at the Wosk Centre for Dialog on Saturday October 26, 2002. The award was jointly received by Mr. Alexander Mackie on behalf of the Archaeology Branch and Dr. Owen Beattie of the University of Alberta. Jim Cosgrove accepted on behalf of the Champagne-Aishihik and the RBCM. The artist lives and works in Kelowna at the gallery.
