Plants

 

The Royal BC Museum’s botany collection consists of dried plant specimens representing more than 290,000 vascular plants, 7,000 mosses and lichens, and 450 boxed cones. The majority of the specimens were collected from BC; however, some are from other Canadian provinces and territories, as well as adjacent US states and Alaska, and a few from Europe, including Russia. The collection features around 26,000 specimens of BC alpine vascular plants collected from more than 150 mountains in BC.
